Drunken noodles 🍜


How to make drunken pasta
the components
8 ounces of pappardelle pasta, wide fettuccine pasta works well too.
1 pound spicy Italian sausage
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 large can of crushed tomatoes
1 ⁄2 cup white wine
1 yellow pepper, thinly sliced
1 red pepper, thinly sliced
3 fresh minced garlic cloves
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 ⁄4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
3 teaspoon parsley flakes
1 ⁄4 cup basil leaves, chopped very thin
olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste, optional
directions
Cook your choice of pasta according to package directions
When al dente is drained, washed and set aside
In a large frying pan, add olive oil and heat over medium heat
Crumble the spicy Italian sausage and cook until it is completely done
Once cooked, remove from pan and set to the side
If needed, add oil to the pan, if there is not enough sausage, then add the onions to the pan, add to the Italian seasoning, and red and yellow peppers.
Stir in the garlic, and add salt and pepper to taste
Add the white wine and let it submerge and cook a little. After two minutes, you can add in the tomatoes and the meat can return to the pan
Remove from heat, add in basil and parsley
Add the drained pasta and use tongs to toss and combine.
